The Giants won last night, despite being behind in the 7th inning. This obviously took me by surprise because the 2016-17 San Francisco Giants are the least clutch team of all time. However, the team playing last night was not the 2016-17 Giants.
Corey Seager hit a home run, and then the Dodgers scored 2 more runs and it was looking like a classic Giants loss, to lose 3-0 or maybe 3-1 on a meaningless Belt homer. But then Christian Arroyo (whose nickname is apparently Boss Baby and I hate this more than anything on earth) hit his first home run.
Still, they needed a spark to tie it. I'm pretty sure the Giants have never won a 1 run game in franchise history, so it would take a miracle.
It was 3-3, and for the first time in the last 12 months I was confident the Giants would win. And then they did. Honestly, after every close win over the last year, it's been a "turning point" for this team. I don't know if this is the turning point, because that's been said before. All I know is that I'd be fine with a couple more turning points.
