The Dodgers today announced that Rich Hill will be placed on the 10 Day Disabled List with a blister. This issue was reoccurring in 2016 and limited Rich Hill to just 6 games started in the regular season with the Dodgers (14 with the A’s for a total of 20). Hill’s ability to stay healthy was a question mark for 2017 and beyond as it has been for many in the Dodgers’ rotation. A quote from Roberts on the issue stated that it is supposedly “not a big issue”.
Josh Fields will take his place on the 25 man roster and no news on who will start in his place on Monday. Per Andy McCullough, Alex Wood is the suggested starter according to Dodger pitching coach Rick Honeycutt. Julio Urias has been ruled out as a possible starter.
